Leadership:
HRg provides bespoke human resource solutions. We work with businesses to optimise the value of human resources through developing an understanding of the context in which the business operates and the issues it faces.

Whether complementing the strengths and experience of the existing HR function, or working directly with the senior management team, HRg will deliver practical solutions with the aim of enhancing profitability.

Since its launch in September 2000, HRg has provided services for a number of organisations in a variety of sectors and locations including: food manufacturers/distributors, housing associations, professional services firms, educational establishments and an international media group.

The projects have ranged from supporting mergers and acquisitions to organisational restructuring and outplacement, from advising on disciplinary issues to conducting psychometric testing, from designing and running leadership development courses to providing interim HR support to firms in the absence of an HR Director.

The core HRg team is as follows, although we have access to a range of other consultants who are able to work with us as required.

Debbie Rogers is HRg's Managing Director and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Debbie has 20 years' experience within the field of human resources management and her career has spanned the manufacturing, retail and financial service sectors during that time.

Debbie's career started as a management trainee on the Marks and Spencer retail management programme where she gained a grounding in general commercial management prior to specialising in the area of Personnel. After almost five years with this employer Debbie decided to expand her experiences by taking on a role in recruitment for the life assurance arm of the Royal Insurance Group. She then moved into hi-tech manufacturing with Crosfield Electronics Ltd (now known as FujiFilm Electronic Imaging Ltd) and enjoyed successive promotions over an eight-year period. Her last employed role was as HR Director for the international supplier of racking and conveyor systems; Dexion Ltd, based in Hertfordshire.

Debbie has also lectured at Peterborough Regional College on the CIPD Professional Management programme and on the BA(Hons) Business Studies degree course at Loughborough University in Peterborough.

Debbie is a Fellow of the RSA, holds Level B user status for Occupational Personality and Ability Testing, accredited by Saville and Holdsworth Ltd and is chair of the Peterborough branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Birgit Scott is a generalist HR practitioner and a Chartered Member of the CIPD. She has over 13 years' experience within both head office and manufacturing environments, in addition to significant expertise in the implementation and management of an HR and Payroll system.

Birgit's work has involved her in agreeing HR strategies, implementing changes to support business demands and ensuring a focused and motivated workforce and own team. She has a practical hands-on approach and her experiences across different industry types enable her to view and respond to situations from varying perspectives. Birgit holds the Level A qualification in Ability Testing accredited by Saville & Holdsworth.

Jacky Briggs is an experienced HR/Development specialist and Chartered Member of the CIPD. A former line manager, her background has largely been in the manufacturing sector where her positions have ranged from Training and Development Manager in an electronics firm to running a unionised assembly plant of over 100 staff. She has been responsible for training activity in the following organisations; Motorola, Crosfiled Electronics, Tele Cential (now Tele West) and Dexion Ltd.

Jacky has been responsible for designing and delivering programmes across all areas of management development including programmes for apprentices in industry. She also has experience of counseling and coaching across all levels and has delivered training on managing meetings, minute taking and other support skills.

Jacky has over 20 years' experience within the field of people management and her line management background makes her a most credible source of advice and support to businesses
